Knowing that local songwriter Keith Morris labored over his debut album for years makes for an even stranger listening experience, because “Candyapolis” projects a childish playfulness rather than tortured genius or labored inspiration. That makes it just as appropriate for kids as it is for adults, though; the Candyapolis Revue, then, is the most obvious way to restate the project: aimed explicitly at the wee ones, complete with big fuzzy bunnies and funny skits in between the songs.
