Trailside Coffee

Trailside Coffee is by far the best coffee shop in all of Albemarle County. As a latte junkie I have tried just about ever joint in and outside of town. Trailside not only offers a quality brew that far outranks any other I have tried but the atmosphere is one that invites you to relax in a comfy chair and read a book, browse the internet or chat with a fellow local.

The decor makes you feel like you are in a friends cozy living room or perhaps a ski lodge, which invites conversation and invokes a sense of homeyness that other coffee shops do not. The staff at Trailside play no small part in the overall feel of the place. On every occasion they have exceeded my expectations of friendly service. They remember me and invite me back warmly.

I live in town but it is far worth the short drive to Crozet to be in a place that offers everything one would want in a local coffee shop.

I am on the road a fair amount between Charlottesville and the valley, and I have to say I make it a point to pop off the interstate for a minute to get my cup of coffee here. There are some good places in Charlottesville and points west, but the flavor of the coffee strikes me as different than what I get most places, and I don't mind getting minutes outside of Charlottesville to pick up my "co-pilot". Also can't argue with breakfast sandwiches all day, any place that offers that is alright by me.
I'd highly recommend stopping there, nice shop, fantastic people and generally a good place to stretch the legs too, then back on the road.
