Simeon Market is a chef-owned and operated hybrid bakery/deli. The chef, Bob Heck (pictured right), graduated from Baltimore Culinary College in 1987. He's worked as a chef in California, the Outer banks of North Carolina, and most recently, at Zinc, here in Charlottesville. Chef Bob focuses on "New American" cuisine, which he describes as, "foods that are as fresh as possible. From the farm to the table, prepared as simply as possible to allow the indgredients to speak for themselves." Bob's homemade soups, sandwiches and quiche are available to-go, or, if the weather's nice, you're welcome to enjoy them outside as you take in the fresh air and beautiful, country landscape. If you are in the mood for something sweet, there is an assortment of mouth-watering scones, muffins, cookies and brownies for you to choose from. All of which are baked in our own kitchen. If you're looking for a little pick-me-up, our coffee is sustainable, rain forest certified, premium Santa Lucia Estate coffee.
