Expensive, Slow, and not worth the timeAl Dente
If you were thinking about dining at Al Dente, please prepare yourself for a hour long lunch wait and at least a hour and a half to receive your dinner. Al Dente is painfully slow with their service, which may have been a bit more palatable had the food been worth the price and wait, but I was quite disappointed with the food. I had hoped that the move to the new location would have inspired a new menu and a legitimate change in service, but it is the same Al Dente, (not a positive thing) in a new location. The lunch we had their was also absurdly priced (a plate of pasta , not home made, and some chicken cost us $16.50 after tax etc.) This place will not last the year if it does not change. Why are there no good Italian places here in Cville...some of these guys should make a trip to Richmond and eat at Mama Zu or Edo Squid....
Beautiful atmosphere, i like the new location with the parking, Al Dente
I think AL Dente is one of the best restaurants in town, you should really know about italian cuisine and wines to appreciate it, we went there for the second time after they move to the new location, we love every thing about it, my husband begin a conversation with our next table couple, and they said that they eat italian food only in italy and Al Dente. that's make us very happy..we love it
