Snap o’ the day: Smoke on Sixth Street
published 11:14am Tuesday Mar 24, 2009
Smoke billowed into the sky late in the afternoon of Monday, March 23, after a taxicab parked behind Premo Auto Body and the Yellow Cab dispatch station on the 1500 block of Sixth Street S.E. caught fire. Minutes before firefighters arrived around 6pm, a crowd gathered, including several children who suggested the fire may have been set intentionally by a juvenile. No arrests have been announced.
