There was a bizarre accident early Saturday morning in Crimora involving a 1983 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, five passengers, and an 11-year-old boy driving 60mph. According to the News-Leader, two passengers— including the driver’s 31-year-old father— received serious injuries when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert.

You know, when your paper gives us such a small amount of information, it is hard to have an opinion. That being said, were there 1] two cars playing chicken on a back road? 2] was this a farm boy racing his father to the hospital after a heart attack? 3] was it Saturday night hoot-a-nanny and the boy was the most sober to drive?

Please, when you copy things from the “News-Leader,” investigate further instead of copying jumbled information verbatim. Because I KNOW your reporting must be better than that. Darn!

Crimora. Who in Jack Lord’s name would name a town after an artificial coffee creamer? PDIV, my suspicion is that the son was probably rushing his dad to an emergency dental appointment…gotta save those last three teeth, you know. The other important item Mr. Spencer did not relate was the condition of Mr. Culvert.
