Enjoying an unprecedented November three-foot natural snowfall, Snowshoe Resort gleefully moved up its opening date for skiing and snowboarding to yesterday, Friday, November 21. This is the view from the top at 7:14am on Saturday. (It should be noted that when the Hookmobile giddily gunned its engine last night from Route 66 to the Snowshoe access road, and thereby spun out into a snowbank, it was a passing ski instructor named Lyn Wilkinson who quickly connected a cargo strap to our axle and sent us on our merry way.)
