Early UVA turnovers led to a pair of field goals by visiting, Tech-beating East Carolina before today’s football game got dominated by the Cavaliers. At one point, the Pirates, with 20 points, got within 8; but that was before the coolest play of the day, a fake field goal in which backup Cav QB Scott Deke found John Phillips all alone (and possibly laughing) in the end zone.
