In his first game back in the NFL since 2006, former Albemarle High School kicker Nick Novak was perfect for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, September 7. Though the Chiefs lost their game on the road against the New England Patriots, 17-10, Novak (seen here when he was a Washington Redskin in 2006) booted a 40-yard field goal with 5:43 left in the second quarter, to score the first points of the Chiefs’ season. Novak also successfully converted an extra-point after a fourth-quarter touchdown. Novak will next lace ‘em up Sunday, September 14 1pm in Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Oakland Raiders.
