Drink up– drought watch lifted
published 2:16pm Tuesday May 13, 2008
After recent flood watches and 4.25 inches of rain so far in May, the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority calls an end to the drought watch it declared in July 2007. Most of the local reservoirs have been brimming since last fall.

I guess this means water rates are about to go up.
Good information.
I wonder which of the local reservoirs haven`t “been brimming since last fall” and why some and not others? Capacity? Location? Feeds? Pronounced rainfall differences in location of reservoirs?
Isn’t it amazing what less than 5″ of rain can do. I no longer believe anything that comes out of our local governments’ mouths, elected or otherwise.
