Snap o’ the day: Flaming indeed!

As I paid my $196 bill for the family of five to eat our four-course fondue meal Sunday night at the Melting Pot, my mind raced back to our last novelty meal, a month-ago trip to the Flaming Wok for some teppan yaki, e.g. Benihana. Check out that flaming onion volcano.

Family of five? WoW! Things have changed over the last 10 years, eh? I recall the “family of three” and it seems like just yesterday! My oldest got a new Ford Explorer last month and gets her driver’s license tomorrow! I’m sure my auto insurance agent will meet us at DMV and hand me my amended rates.
And I had to fill my 44 gallon gas tank up last night ($156.00) and take my family of 3 to a McDonalds Happy Meal. Wasn’t too long ago the debate on doing away with the penny was being discussed. They might as well fast forward and simpy do away with all change, and the $10 and $20 paper currency!
