The explosion yesterday morning at the Forest Lakes store occurred during repairs when a hand-held butane torch with a small cannister caught on fire. A worker put the torch down and presumably ran to get a fire extinguisher. The device exploded, causing minor damage, according to an Albemarle County release. The Fire Marshall has issued a notice of violation to the company doing the work, J. L. Maintenance of Harrisonburg.

Oh thank god, I seriously thought we were under terrorist attack……. Without The Hook I’d live in constant fear of this threat.
Especially since all the other news agencies reported it first, noting that it was an accident.
