Thomas Woltz and Cindy Burke, who co-designed the event with John GibsonLive Arts certainly broke up the monotony of February with its racy Red Masque party held Saturday, February 9. Performers kept the heat up, dancing, breathing fire, telling lovers' fortunes, and appearing in provocative living tableaus, while guests savored the rare roast beef, sinful chocolate desserts, and ripe strawberries. A little red devil, men in skirts, shining red silks, carnivale masks, and even a stalwart mountie crowded the luxuriously appointed space and danced until the wee hours. While it may be the most talked about party many Charlottesvillians can remember, rumors of a red goat remain unsubstantiated.
