Strong words, weak cause
I do not wish to embarrass Patricia Kluge by pointing out all of the inaccuracies in her recent letter to the Hook [July 10:"Condon doesn't know Kluge"] (http://www.readthehook.com/93705/letter-condon-doesnt-know-kluge) (such as her inference that herbicides are not pesticides and that they have no effect upon wildlife).
I would simply like to say that her letter immediately brought to mind an aphorism I heard a long time ago: Strong and bitter words indicate a weak cause.
