Boo on the protesters

Why you would even give space to the students of Charlottesville High School [News, March 27: "Road protest: resistance was futile"] ( who are protesting the war when our service men and women are fighting for the likes of them leaves many unanswered questions.

Perhaps you would have better served your readers had you also printed a poem that appeared in the April 4 edition of the Recorder [of Highland County], and underline the lines which state it was a veteran who gave us both free speech and the right to assemble.

Moreover, the "F" word does not appear in any of the dictionaries that I have, but I believe the letters stand for "fraudulent use of carnal knowledge." I may be wrong. Perhaps one of those knowledgeable young protesters could set me straight.

God Bless America and those who fight for freedom!
