LETTER- Death be not proud

One is always pleased when prosecutors decide not to seek the death penalty, particularly when the defendants are teenagers [April 10, 4Better or Worse: "Best break for alleged Crozet killers"] (http://www.readthehook.com/93286/4-better-or-worse-week-review).

It should be noted, though, that prosecutors could never have sought a death sentence for the 15-year-old charged in this case. Virginia law [18.2-10] prohibits execution of persons under 16 years of age at the time of the offense.
