Shiver me timbers! It's Dogwood Festival time again

To help set the mood, the East Rivanna Fire House hosted a celebration on April 5.
Face painters, balloonists, and storytellers competed for children's attention, while Clifford the Big Red Dog strolled around, the big hit of the day. Beauty queens were on hand, too, with their mega-watt smiles and pageant banners. It certainly was a festive affair despite the chilly temps.
