Just so people could be reminded that Spring really is around the corner, the seventh annual Fleur-de-Lis Antiques and Garden Show took place at the East Rivanna Fire Hall Saturday and Sunday, March 1 and 2.
Flower arrangements with such seductive scents!– graced the room, vying for attention with opulent antiques. It didn't matter that snow still lay on the ground the smell of hyacinths and lilies fooled us all into thinking that winter had already been doused.
Everyone got in on the action. Antique dealers from up and down the east coast hawked their wares, while the Fire Company Auxiliary kept everyone watered and fed with delectable homemade foodstuffs. If these lures aren't enough to convince you to attend next year, this year's event benefited S.A.R.A. (Sexual Assault Resource Agency), so you have the added pleasure of knowing your hard-earned dollars go to a good cause.
