I'm no Barhoppers newbie

The article about Barhoppers [Performance feature: "Barhoppers back at the rail," February 27, 2003] (http://www.readthehook.com/99751/short-ones-barhoppers-back-rail) stated that Mendy Hardy (that's me) is a "newcomer" to Barhoppers.

Actually, I'm not a newcomer. I played the lead in Bill Rough's Scraps in Barhoppers 1999, way back before many of the current core regulars had become involved. I offer this correction not for my own glorification, but instead out of respect for Bill Rough, a very talented local playwright and director.

I have not forgotten or disregarded the fine experience of acting in his play, although others apparently have. Of course, that was before Live Arts began casting me regularly in my underwear. Since then, my performances have lingered a bit longer in the local memory. Hmmm.

Anyway, thanks, Bill. I haven't forgotten about you or Scraps.
