No sooner do you stash the Spiderman mask in the attic and throw away the last Mr. Goodbar wrapper than it's time to roll out the pie crust and clean the oven racks for the turkey pan. And now, the Jolly Old Elf is making plans to plop down the chimney looking for cookies and milk.
Where will he find them? While many of us were lazing around over the weekend, digesting, others were out shopping for Christmas trees.
Local Boy Scouts spent some of last week chopping down trees to sell at their tree stand on Pantops. Andrew Lee says that because of the short time between holidays this year, the boys expect to be steadily busy until Christmas.
He and other Scouts will be on duty, manning their posts and trying to stay warm. The money they make will be worth it, though, and will help fatten the troop's coffers. So if you haven't gotten your tree yet, head over to Pantops, and let the Boy Scouts sell you one of theirs. It's for a good cause.
