Although it ranks only #8 in numbers of members locally, just as it does nationwide, Episcopalianism finds its highest citywide concentration in Charlottesville. Here, the tiny denomination has 1,381 adherents, about three percent of the city population, according to the Religious Congregations and Membership in the United States 2000, published this month by the Glenmary Research Center of Nashville, Tennessee.
