Habitat for Humanity; Swing-style noogie at the Omni

Big Ray and the Kool Kats serenaded some serious dancers Saturday, September 14, at "Celebrate Me Home," a weekend fundraiser to benefit Habitat for Humanity. The group builds livable homes for low-income families.

Skirts swirled and ties flew as couples competed for first prize in a dance contest. Other dancers, no less enthusiastic, shared the dance floor with the contestants, shaking and shimmying to the jazzy swing of Big Ray.

The evening was a winner, with every seat in the Omni Hotel's grand ballroom taken– a good time for a good cause. We were sorry when the clock struck midnight, and we had to zoom home in our pumpkins.
