Call for Auditions

Suppose you were a sophisticated theatre critic deciding whether to marry your fiance or not. But first, you must go home to visit the family, and going home to visit your family means that you are visiting two crazy aunts who murder old men for fun with poisoned elderberry wine, one of your brothers thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt, and your other brother is a criminal who changes his identity through plastic surgery. Truly, there's no place like home. The Old Michie Theatre seeks 28 actors ages 11 and up to play various roles in two casts for “Arsenic & Old Lace” at the V. Earl Dickenson theater. Performances are the weekend of August 12th. Bring a memorized piece and be prepared to do cold readings from the script. Auditions are held at the Old Michie Theatre by appointment the week of May 30th-June 3rd. Audition appointments can be made by calling 977-3690, or by e-mail. 221 E. Water St., across from the Water Street Parking Garage.
