UVA Art Department opens Yi Sheng's "The Miraculous Mandarin"

The University of Virginia's McIntire Department of Art opens a special exhibit of work, "The Miraculous Mandarin," created by visiting artist Yi Sheng, whose work "embraces a mix of video, performance, photography and object-making." The installation and performance examine questions of place and "home." The opening will feature a sound-based performance on handmade glass ocarinas. A free shuttle bus will depart and return to Ruffin Gallery on Bayly Dr. Morven Dairy Barn.
