Queen City feast: Thrifty eatin' in Staunton
Better look out, Charlottesville food scene. Staunton is on the move. Fresh off a big article in Baltimore Magazine that called our neighbor to the west " one of the country's best-kept foodie secrets," the Queen City is spreading its wings with a Restaurant Week of its own March 21-27.
Just like Charlottesville's popular RW, you'll enjoy prix fixe menus with appetizer, entrée & dessert for just $15-$20-$25, with $1 of each meal going to The Valley Mission, at 10 area restaurants: Baja Bean, Byers St. Bistro, Cranberry’s Grocery & Eatery, Emilio’s, Mill Street Grill, Mockingbird, Sorrel’s Lounge at Stonewall Jackson Hotel, Staunton Grocery, Taste of India, and Zynodoa.
Check out the Staunton Restaurant Week website at stauntonyum.com to see the menus and get contact information if you have questions. And don't forget to make reservations soon!
