This year's Carters Mountain Apple Festival was a huge hit– families swarmed the mountain for weeks.

Marching bands, clowns, floats, Miss Virginia, the Dogwood Queen and her Court, and lots more fun wound its way through downtown streets during the annual Dogwood Festival Parade on April 24. For more than 60 years, the Festival has been one of those essential Charlottesville experiences: if you're not in it, you gotta be among the throng lining Market or High Street to watch.
