Although built at the tail end 1970s, this Earlysville property has higher-end construction than usual for that era and none of the design clichés. The style and fixtures– from the double crown molding to blond hardwood floors– give it a traditional feel. Size and scale fit what today's buyers are looking for in a contemporary house.

Two separate unfinished rooms off the garage work for storing pool furniture and the like— although there's also a poolroom with bar. Because it's accessed from the drive, the basement could work for a buyer with a home-based business. 

The Hickory Ridge development is built around an equine center, so potential buyers will likely belong to the horsy set. And while the house and its 1.17 acres are assessed at $603,100, the new buyer will also pay taxes on an additional 1.35-acre building lot assessed at $159,500.
