CORRECTION- Vanguard, not Alliance

"Tough times: The best and (mostly) worst of 2007" (December 20) incorrectly identified the white supremacist organization founded by Kevin Strom, who is scheduled to plead guilty to child pornography charges January 14, as the National Alliance. Strom founded a splinter group, the National Vanguard, after his split from the National Alliance, which was founded by his now-deceased mentor, William Pierce, the man whose Turner Diaries inspired Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.
