George Melvin

For his South Street shows, George Melvin usually plays several keyboards at once, using his left hand for walking basslines that match up with jazzy drum loops and working the sustain pedal to give the illusion of multiple right-hand parts. Melvin's other gig, however, is as a Hammond B-3 organ player, and his beloved behemoth will make a special appearance at this performance. Melvin frequently asks other local musicians to sit in, but Miss Lucy is a rare treat.
