Female V-P nominee to speak

Remember Geraldine Ferraro? Well, she's the former Congressperson who once took a shot at becoming America's first female vice-president. And she's coming here. While the 1984 Democratic ticket (led by Walter Mondale) collapsed under the Reagan reelection landslide, Ferraro made history as America's first and only would-be veep. Her speech is part of a women in politics symposium co-hosted by the UVA
Center for Politics
and the Woodrow Wilson
Department of Politics at the University of Virginia. Date/time: 7pm,
Wednesday, March 15. Location: Newcomb Hall Ballroom.

Update 3/15 5:26pm:Event cancelled due to high winds in NYC which block her plane from leaving, according to a Center release.
