Cornell student found dead at UVA

A Cornell University freshman, Matthew Pearlstone, was found dead Friday morning in UVA's Cauthen residence hall, the Cavalier Daily is reporting. Pearlstone, a freshman from Missouri, had been the guest of a first-year student and, according to the story, drank from a flask of alcohol he took to a Thursday, March 16 gathering at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house, a possible violation of "dry rush" rules.
Pearlstone's is the second mysterious death at UVA this academic year. On November, UVA student Michelle Collier was found dead in her apartment.
Pearlstone was a computer science and electrical engineering major at Cornell who ran marathons and had a place on Cornell's robotic submarine team, according to his mother as quoted in the Cavalier Daily.
