Pat Collins mystery goes on radio

On March 22, 1986, UVA physiology graduate student Patrick Collins withdrew $40 from a downtown Charlottesville ATM, and that was his last contact with the living world. Hook columnist Barbara Nordin joined WNRN radio talk show host Rick Moore this morning on the station’s "Sunday Morning Wake-Up Call" to discuss the perplexing case. As readers of Nordin's award-winning coverage already know, the case went cold due to a variety of factors: his newness to UVA, his parents' international travel plans, his elderly Belmont landlady's sudden illness, and UVA's alleged mishandling of its first and only homicide case.
Hear about the alleged stalker, the 100 steps on his hands, and the gay '80s scene at Mem Gym. Beware, when listening to the podcast about the mystery, Moore uses the first five minutes of the show to bemoan mobile phone and other technology.
