DMB tix on sale Saturday
Tickets for this fall's two Dave Matthews Band concerts go on sale Saturday, according to officials with the John Paul Jones Arena, the $130 million venue that's calling this pair of shows its grand opening. Will this be a repeat of 2001 when DMB's long-awaited Scott Stadium "Homecoming" concert caused a Rolling Stones-speed sellout? Or will the recent appearance of the Rolling Stones themselves have caused Charlottesville to get just a little jaded about their hometown heroes?
We'll find out shortly after 10am on April 22 when tickets for both the September 22 and September 23 concerts go on sale for $55 for all reserved seating.
Charlottesville will be the final stop on the band's 2006 summer tour, and opening act for both Charlottesville performances is none other the "family" on the cover of the latest edition of the Hook, Robert Randolph & the Family Band.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.johnpauljonesarena.com, by phone at 1-888-JPJ-TIXS (1-888-575-8497) or by visiting Plan 9 outlets.
