9/11 monument has risen in Buena Vista

Remember the star of our summer 2004 cover story about fiberglass wonders near Natural Bridge? Well, now that master of the roadside attraction, Mark Cline, has done a bit of remembering on his own.

In early September (yes, we're a little late to notice), he erected a pair of old storage containers as a 9/11 memorial just outside the city of Buena Vista. Using donated materials and labor, Cline has created a 40-foot-tall replica of the twin towers felled by terrorists five years ago.

Roadside America has the story.
