If ya want his singing…

Wake up, Maggie– Rod Stewart's coming to Charlottesville. John Paul Jones Arena officials announced tonight that the British rasper famous for such hits as "Tonight's the Night" and "Do Ya Think I’m Sexy" will perform on Saturday, May 5.

It's a return to Virginia actually, as Stewart– touring in support of a new album covering classics– just performed at the Norfolk Scope on Sunday.

One feature of this tour and the JPJ show is that for the first time in over a decade, Stewart’s stage will be in the round. The new album is called Still The Same...Great Rock Classics Of Our Time.

The new local arena has been pulling in some big names including Eric Clapton, DMB, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billy Joel, and Justin Timberlake. Tickets to the Charlottesville show go on sale next Saturday, February 10 at 10:00am.
