Crawford gets two life terms plus 67 years

The jury has spoken. Two hours after convicting Anthony Dale Crawford on six of seven counts in a five-day capital murder trial, a Charlottesville jury has returned a sentence that appears to send the killer away for the rest of his life, if not longer.

The six men and six women sitting in Charlottesville Circuit Court since Monday morning recommend that for killing his estranged wife, Mr. Crawford must serve two life terms– plus 67 years. [The fellow on the video at left is prosecutor John Zug.
