Maroon 5 brings tour to JPJ
L.A. pop quintet Maroon 5 announced yesterday that they would be making a Monday, October 8 stop at John Paul Jones Arena on their upcoming fall tour. Tickets to see the Grammy-winning group go on sale this Saturday, July 14 at 10am.
The band's second album It Won't Be Soon Before Long has sold nearly two million copies in its first eight weeks and hit #1 on the Billboard 200 chart in June. The single "Makes Me Wonder" has been in constant rotation on Top 40 radio and topped the Hot 100 singles chart, and currently holds steady at #7. That's small potatoes compared to their debut, Songs About Jane, which spawned three top 20 singles, including the Grammy-winning "This Love," and sold a whopping 10 million copies worldwide.
Tickets to the JPJ show will cost between $40.50 and $50.50 and will be available at the box office, at Plan 9 location, through the arena's website, and over the phone by calling 1-888-575-8497. The opener will be Swedish garage rockers the Hives.
