Obama calls Betty Van Yahres after primary win

The DP's Bob Gibson reports that one of the first things that Sen. Barrack Obama did after winning the Virginia primary last night was call former Del. Mitchell Van Yahres' widow, Betty Van Yahres, to express his condolences. Van Yahres died on February 8 following complications from lung surgery. He was 81. "I almost fell over," Van Yahres told the DP. "He made my day. I've been sad."

Way to go Obama! It is good you are thoughtful enough to call especially when your schedule is so booked. I hope to give you my vote once I hear what your policies are.
