Jaquith, Weaver affect ’sunshine’ differently

What do maverick blogger Waldo Jaquith and wrist-slapped Madison Sheriff Erik J. Weaver have in common? Each has affected the course of "sunshine," the public's right to the information it owns, as we read in Sunday's Richmond Times-Dispatch. Jaquith, who graduated from Virginia Tech (contrary to the T-D's UVA assertion), created RichmondSunlight.com, and Weaver got hit with a $250 fine (that he's appealing) for wrongly redacting information from a public document.
