CCDC hosts workshop "Livable Communities: Lessons and Next Steps from Atlanta"

In conjunction with the Charlottesville Community Design Center's exhibition of the winners of the 2008 "Virginia Go Green Competition," Jim Durrett will discuss his work directing Livable Communities Coalitions in Atlanta, Ga., focusing on the following interrelated areas: demographics, housing, energy, climate, environment, transportation, and public health. He will highlight barriers and opportunities for achieving smart growth and livable urban and suburban communities. 4-6pm.
