Civil War re-enactor shot for real
The Associated Press reports this morning that a Virginia Civil War re-enactment got dangerously realistic over the weekend. On Saturday, Thomas Lord was playing the part of Union soldier at a portrayal of a skirmish at Heritage Park in Windsor near Suffolk, when suddenly he received a real live gunshot wound from a .45 caliber musket bullet. Isle of Wight County sheriffs say they're still investigating who may have pulled the trigger. Lord was hospitalized and has since been released.
