Slovenian poet, Ã?Â alamun, reads
TomaŸ amun was born in 1941 in Zagreb, Croatia and raised in Koper,Slovenia. He has published 37 books of poetry in Slovenia and is recognizedas one of the leading poets in Central Europe. Among his honors include the Preseren Fund Prize, the Jenko Prize, a Pushcart Prize, a visiting Fulbrightto Columbia University, and a fellowship to the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa. His poetry has been translated into more than 20 languages around the world.
Brian Henry is the author of five books of poetry. His poems have appeared in numerous magazines around the world, including The New Republic, American Poetry Review, The Paris Review, Grand Street, Poetry Review, and Jacket. His poetry has been collected in many anthologies and has been translated into Russian, Slovenian, and Croatian. He has co-edited Verse since 1995, and he co-edited The Verse Book of Interviews. His translation of alamun's Woods and Chalices appeared from Harcourt in 2008.
