Did Obama comment open C'ville schools?

An inch or two of snow fell overnight–- the first accumulation of the season–- and yet Albemarle (which has already racked up two "snow days") is merely delayed this morning. Charlottesville public schools, meanwhile, perhaps taking the new president's comments to heart, is forging ahead with on-time instruction. (Photo shot on Route 250 W at 9:32am.)


Maybe UVA professor Bill Lucy could add on time school openings as another reason to live in the city to his already documented finding that it's safer to live in the city than in the county


Safer to live in the city? I just don't recall all of these serious home invasions taking place in the county like I do the city. As we all recall I'm sure, one such home invasion in the city resulted in a young girl's brutal murder.
