Bloggin' newsroom

The WCAV newsroom has started its own blog. But don't expect any actual news when you visit. It appears to be more of a community relations effort. The first two posts describe what stories reporters are working on and what you'll be able to see on the evening broadcast. "You can comment on what you see on the air or what you want to see," writes news director Jim Hanchett. " I'll answer your questions and post your comments and we can turn this into a local news community."

Does anything called a "blog" have actual news? WCAV needs to get the Ferrari back.

Blogs sometimes generate news.

Great that's all we need, another fluff website from a charlottesville news source.

It is not, unfortunately, a blog. There is no RSS feed, no normalized data output, nothing blog-like at all. It's just a section of a website where brief stories are posted. That's not to say that it's inherently useless, just that it's in no way a blog.
