Saga of a supermodel: Colin marks his calendar

Colin Steers.

Last week Charlottesville's hottest nerd, college student Colin Steers, got his bobbing head under control and successfully walked on to another week of Make Me a Supermodel (Wednest, 9pm, BravoTV). This week the series turned its attention to other contestants– surly CJ of the bad attitude and Gabriel of it's-always-a-good-time-to-walk-around-in-your-underwear– and focused less on our sweet boy of the fine mind and good manners (which, although it left Colin fans wanting more, was a good indication that he would not go home).

During the photo challenge, the model wanna-bes arrived at a football field, where they were wired into harnesses and told to perform aerial sports poses. The photographer advised, "I'm really looking for a strong sense of motion," while model mentor Nicole reminded the models to heed their facial expressions. The photographer paired Colin with Branden, last week's overall winner. Although not the brightest light– on the first episode, he announced he was "especially not gay," and last week he called women's breasts

"boobie-wa-was"– Branden clearly knows a thing or two about modeling. Despite Colin accidentally punching his partner in the face a few times while being sporty in the air, the photographer praised the duo's efforts and pointed out their good attitude. Their image was also turned out to be one of the best.

Back at the models' apartment, hormones ran high as contestants Gabriel and Amanda started to get frisky (thus, ensuring that Gabriel, despite his lack of personality, would probably get to stay for another week–the producers do love a sexy storyline). Meanwhile, Colin admirer Kerryn gushed to the camera, "When you think Colin, you think Superman. I would love to be his Lois Lane!" Cut to Kerryn, favored-to-win Sandhurst, and Colin discussing– what else?–Colin's virginity. Kerryn told Sandhurst she's trying to warm Colin up by getting him used to "touch." Sandhurst asked Colin how it made him feel. "Dirty." And the march toward Colin's de-flowerment moved relentlessly forward.

At the catwalk challenge, the competitors struck sports poses at the end of the runway while wearing costumes that resembled swimsuits with giant birdcages attached to the models' shoulders. Backstage, Colin waited for his turn while wearing a bulbous metal piece placed front and center on his groin. "This is my first codpiece," he confessed to the camera. "I'm going to mark it on my calendar–it's a big day!" Ah,  a handsome man who's self-deprecating and sarcastic, so refreshing! You simply have to love Colin–he's the total package. (See what I did there?)

This week our boy wonder skated through his catwalk, striking a tennis backhand pose in his codpiece, to land squarely in the middle of the pack, where he warrented no special comments from the judges. Stay tuned, though, our tender innocent is clearly barreling down the road to experience–in the preview for next week's episode, Kerryn placed her hand on Colin's crotch and asked, "Does this make you uncomfortable?"
