Free Speech Wall up for national award
The Downtown Mall's Free Speech Wall is one of five finalists for the The Rudy Bruner Award for Urban Excellence, along with Millennium Park in Chicago and St. Joseph Rebuild Center in New Orleans, a day center for the homeless with services geared toward helping in disaster situations. The award, created in 1986, recognizes excellence in urban placemaking, from design to planning to the public's interaction with the space. For some, that interaction with the Free Speech Wall has been a noble symbol of our Constitutional rights, but for others it has been an ignoble symbol, a kind of open-space bathroom stall that constantly needs cleaning. The gold medal winner will get $50,000 and the silver medals are worth $10,000 each.

Our wall deserves first place --many a night after City Council that I've taken out my frustrations by writing on the wall and gone home a more peaceful person. Thank you for all those who made this happen.
The wall shouldn't even be in this competition, since there is nothing "Urban" about this entire village. Perhaps the Suburban Award or Village Award...but not Urban Award.
Please.
Please go to www.info-wars.com without the hyphen (I had to put it in there to get past the thingy they put on here to prevent me from telling you about the website) and listen to the Alex Jones Show. You can listen on shortwave radio too. Watch Alex Jones' documentary films for free on youtube.com. Spread the truth about the New World Order's plans to kill everyone so we can stop them before it's too late!
Okay guys maybe you can't take your lovely wife to dinner in NYC like Hawes and Barack, but time to step up to the plate and enjoy dinner in your own backyard --she'll love it and the menus look fabulous.
Melting Pot but no Olive Garden for "restaurant week"!?! Whathefa....?
Never again. End of story.
