Artist Jessica Partain combines a love of food with personal adornment in a two-part jewelry-making workshop for teens in grades 7-12 at Scottsville Library.
Part I: Introduction to Jewelry Making on June 16 covers the basics of wire wrapping and stringing skills. All supplies will be provided, but participants can bring any beads or charms they’d like to use to learn how to create your own earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.
Part II: Sculpting Tiny Foods: Lollipops on June 23 covers basic techniques in working with polymer clay as participants learn how to make sweet little lollipop charms and turn them into a pair of tasty earrings or a necklace.
Participants may sign up for either session or both. Registration required. 330 Bird St., Scottsville. 286-4744.
