It's baaak: Restaurant Week returns for seconds

As you may recall, turnout for the event was so heavy that some restaurants extended the $25 prix fixe menu offer for a second week.
“We have to admit we were a little surprised by the enormity of the turnout,” said Hook sales manager Anna Harrison. “The fact that you had some restaurants extending things for a second week speaks volumes about the event’s popularity.”
“I went to three restaurants during restaurant week this summer; two new to me and one old fav,” writes foodie Emily Lape, who wished that out-of-area restaurants might someday be included, like the Staunton Grocery in Staunton and the Palladio in Barboursville. “ I’m thrilled to hear that there will be another restaurant week in January.”
Because of the event’s success, there are more that twice as many restaurants signed up for the week in January, including Aberdeen Barn, Blue Light, The Boat House, Brassiere Montiel, C&O, Camino, Carmello's, Cassis, Fossett's at Keswick Hall, Horse and Hound, l'etoile, Maya, The Melting Pot, Old Mill Room at The Boar's Head Inn,The Pointe at The Omni, Ventana, Vivace, and Zinc.
In addition, Keswick Hall, the plush east-of-town resort inn, has announced that they will offer a special rate folks coming to town for Restaurant Week: $175 per room per night. Over at the Boar’s Head Inn, the Charlottesville resort hotel with one of the most extensive tennis/sports clubs in the country (and home to a participating Restaurant Week restaurant called The Old Mill Room), they will be offering visitors a steep discount from published rates: $149/night. And the price includes the use of the sports facilities!
