Year of home schooling author at B&N
When Washington and Lee prof Laura Brodie's 10-year-old daughter needed a break from school, Brodie sympathized and devoted a year to teaching her at home. The result: Harper publishes Love in a Time of Homeschooling: A Mother and Daughter’s Uncommon Year in April. Brodie, who got her PhD in English at UVA, will discuss her book and short-term homeschooling at 11am Saturday, April 17, at Barnes and Noble.
