The University of Virginia Art Museum presents "Man Ray, African Art, and the Modernist Lens," which examines the pivotal role photography played in changing the perception of African objects from artifacts to fine art. The show features over 50 photographs by Man Ray, as well as photographs by Ray's contemporaries, such as Walker Evans, Alfred Stieglitz, and Andr© Kert©sz.
